Rachael Sushner will enter her third season as assistant women's soccer coach in 2015. She helped lead the team to 15-2-1 overall record and an 11-1 mark in conference play in the 2014 season. W&L made an appearance in the ODAC Championship match where they fell to Lynchburg, 1-0. Six Generals were named to the all-conference team.
Prior to W&L, she was the assistant coach at Clarkson University. While working for the Golden Knights, she managed their national recruiting, developed scouting reports and assisted with the planning and execution of training sessions as the goalkeeper coach.
A 2009 graduate of Skidmore College with a bachelor of arts in business and sociology, Sushner spent three years as an assistant coach at Wellesley College from 2008-2011. The team won the NEWMAC regular season title in 2009.
At Skidmore, Sushner was a four-year starter and captained the team her senior year. During her career, she was the Liberty League Rookie of the Year, named to the Liberty League All-Conference First Team, and the All-New York Region First Team.
She also played for the Professional Boston Breakers Reserve team in 2010, and recently earned her masters in business administration from Clarkson in May 2013.
